Chase Stahl
Vet-Partner
Dr. Chase Stahl, DVM grew up on a farm near Clarion, IA and graduated from Clarion-Goldfield High School in 2004. Chase completed his undergraduate studies at Drake University in 2008 with dual degrees in Biochemistry and Environmental Science. It wasn’t until his junior year that he began his journey into the veterinary profession.
Chase graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. He spent a year working as a Staff Veterinarian with Iowa Select Farms before joining the Fairmont team.
Dr. Stahl joined the Fairmont Veterinary Clinic in 2013. He and his wife Summer were married in Fairmont on April 5, 2014. They have a son, Stetson, and are expecting their second child in December.
They have two Yellow Labradors, Stella, and Cora. Chase and his family enjoy the outdoors: especially hunting, gardening, and working on their acreage.

Andy Kryzer
Vet-Partner
Dr. Andy Kryzer, DVM grew up on a crop and beef farm in southeast MN. Andy was a member of the University of Minnesota Livestock Judging Team while doing his undergrade at the University of Minnesota. While at the university Andy worked at the Veterinary Diagnostic Lab alongside the food animal pathologists honing his postmortem evaluation and sample collection skills. After graduating from veterinary school in 2015 Andy started at the Fairmont Vet Clinic. Andy enjoys working with sow farms, wean to finish flows, and likes consulting with producers on pig flow and marketing targets. Dr. Kryzer likes working with Spanish speaking employees at sow farms, finding satisfaction in teaching them the “why” behind “what” they are performing for procedures. Andy and his wife Carolyn have 2 daughters, Addie and Lainey, and they enjoy spending time outdoors, swimming, biking, running and working on the family farm.

Brian Roggow
Managing Vet-Partner
Dr. Brian Roggow, DVM was born and raised in Jackson, MN. He was active in 4-H, FFA and athletics. His family was involved with a diversified farming operation that raised corn, soybeans, hogs, and sheep.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 1986 and then received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1990 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed the Executive Veterinary Program at the University of Illinois in 2000.
Dr. Roggow has been employed at the Fairmont Veterinary Clinic since 1990. He is married to Deb, and they have three children, and two grandchildren. His hobbies include pickle ball, golf, and helping to promote youth activities in the Fairmont Area.

Mark Wagner
Vet-Partner
Dr. Mark Wagner, DVM grew up near Wessington Springs, South Dakota on a diversified livestock operation that included hogs, cattle, and sheep.
He completed his undergraduate degree at South Dakota State University in 1993 in Animal Science and veterinary degree at Iowa State University in 1997.
Dr. Wagner has practiced at the Fairmont Veterinary Clinic since 1997. His professional interests have been on disease management and therapies with a focus on PRRS immunity and research. He enjoys working with farms of all sizes assisting with health and production.
He and his wife Alison have two children Reed and Kate and live on an acreage near Fairmont.
He and his family continue to stay active with livestock on their cattle ranch in South Dakota.

Jeff Kurt

Dr. Jeff Kurt, DVM grew up near Cascade, IA. He was raised on a diversified family farm with beef, swine, corn and soybeans. He was active in 4-H and FFA.
Jeff graduated form Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He was the Swine Proficiency Award winner. He is a member of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Kurt focuses on swine health and production with an emphasis on ventilation and nutrition.
Dr. Kurt has been employed at the Fairmont Veterinary Clinic since 2002. He is married to Ann and they have one son, Tyler, and 2 daughters, Avery and Alayna. His hobbies include spending time with his family, sports, hunting, and fishing.

Steve Stone
Vet-Partner
Dr. Steve Stone, grew up near Wagner, South Dakota on a beef, swine, and grain farm. Upon his high school graduation, he joined the Army and was on active duty for two years then was in the National Guard/Army Reserve for 6 more years. He began his undergraduate studies at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1993. Dr. Stone received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 from Iowa State University.
Upon graduation, Dr. Stone practiced mixed animal medicine in Slayton, MN, where he was a practicing partner until 2007 when he joined the Fairmont Veterinary Clinic. He became a partner with FVC in 2010 and currently enjoys both swine and beef feedlot medicine.
Dr. Stone is currently an active member of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians, Academy of Veterinary Consultants, Iowa Veterinary Medical Association, and American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Stone is married to his wife, Christy, and together they have two children, Isaac and Brooklyn. Outside of veterinary medicine, he enjoys sports, coaching baseball, softball, gardening, growing pumpkins, traveling and spending time back on the family farm in South Dakota.

Megan Nickel
Vet-Associate
Dr. Megan Nickel, DVM, MS was born and raised on a dairy farm in Theresa, Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at UW-River Falls. During college, she worked at a local mixed animal practice, an emergency clinic in the twin cities, and as a research assistant in the university’s animal welfare laboratory. Before attending veterinary school, she completed an animal welfare internship with Oscar Meyer/Kraft Heinz.
While attending Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Megan worked as an animal welfare research assistant. In 2019, Megan graduated from veterinary school and received the Maddie’s Fund Shelter Medicine/Animal Welfare Excellence Award for Seniors. After graduation, Megan completed her master’s in science with the Swine Medicine Education Center (SMEC) at ISU as a post-doctoral research associate. Her research was focused on antimicrobial susceptibility, and she was the inaugural recipient of the Drs. Lorraine J Hoffman and M. Peter Hoffman Scholarship in Veterinary Medicine.
After completing her master’s degree, Megan was the lead sow veterinarian for a 72,000-sow system in southeastern Minnesota for two and a half years before joining Fairmont Veterinary Clinic in 2024. She is a member of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Megan and her husband Nathan, have an English Bulldog named Arnold. They enjoy kayaking, traveling to state and national parks for hiking, and spending time back in Wisconsin with their families.

Leyton Becker
Vet-Associate
Dr. Leyton Becker, DVM grew up in Northrop, MN. He was raised on his family farm with corn, soybean and a farrow to finish operation. He was active in FFA and 4-H, showing pigs and competing in a variety of contests. While studying animal science at the University of Minnesota, he played club soccer, was involved with Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, and worked at the Veterinary Diagnostic Lab and Swine barn on campus. Before he started veterinary school, he took a study abroad program in the summer of 2019 to work on pig farms in Germany and Denmark. As a veterinary student, he was involved in the Production Animal Medicine club and was president of the Christian Veterinary Fellowship on campus. During his second year of vet school, he married his wife Montana Becker who is a full-time swim coach and artist. Leyton received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2024 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Becker started with Fairmont Veterinary Clinic in June of 2024. Currently, Dr. Becker and his wife live in Princeton, MN and plan to help assist the northern farms. When he is not working you can find Dr. Becker going for long-distance runs, serving in his local church as a youth leader or working with his in-laws on their Hereford seedstock operation.
